This AL-KO braked axle is designed for boat trailers and other heavy-duty applications. It supports up to 1000 kg on a single axle or 2000 kg in tandem. Key dimensions include 1355 mm mounting spacing, 1870 mm hub spacing, and a 5×112 bolt pattern. The 158 mm control arm ensures good stability and shock absorption.
Equipped with waterproof, maintenance-free compact bearings, it’s ideal for marine use. These double angular contact ball bearings are sealed and greased for life, offering durability up to 250,000 km.
Suspension is based on AL-KO’s hexagonal profile with integrated rubber rollers for improved ride comfort, better damping, and reduced vibration. Independent suspension ensures each wheel responds individually to road conditions.
The axle comes corrosion-protected via hot-dip galvanizing (10-year protection), standard galvanizing (5 years), and electrogalvanizing for precision parts (4 years).
Braking components include drum brakes with cooling fins for heat dissipation. The modular, bolt-on design allows easy brake maintenance and cable adjustment.
